A panel of eight jurors from the Instituto de Gestión y Liderazgo Universitario (IGLU) awarded in Florianópolis, Brazil the First Prize 2014 Guilles Boulet Award to artist and educator, Brenda Hopkins Miranda. Her music education project proposal was considered the most “original, pertinent and innovative” project presented. It exposes a thorough diagnosis of the current model and its limitations while presenting clear strategies for change and the results expected. The project was also recognized for its rigor and high quality.
